Privacy Policy for Unscroll

Introduction

Unscroll ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use Unscroll: Tasks Before Apps.

Information We Collect

Unscroll is designed as a local-first, device-based app. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not operate a cloud database for your tasks or blocked app selections.

1. Tasks and App Blocking Selections

• Tasks: The tasks you enter are stored locally on your device and, where needed, in the App Group container used by Unscroll widgets and Live Activities.
• Blocked App Selections: App, category, or website selections are handled through Apple's Screen Time and Family Controls frameworks. These selections are stored locally by iOS and the App.

2. Purchase Information

• Premium Status: We may use RevenueCat to manage Premium entitlement status and purchase restoration.
• Payment Processing: Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your full payment card information.

3. Device Permissions

• Screen Time / Family Controls: Used to let you choose apps, categories, or websites to block until your tasks are completed.
• Live Activities: Used to show your current task progress on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island when a lock session is active.

How We Use Information

• To save and display your daily tasks on your device.
• To apply and remove local app blocking rules based on task completion.
• To show task progress through Live Activities and widgets.
• To verify Premium access and restore eligible purchases.
• To respond to support requests if you contact us by email.

Data Storage and Security

Your task list and lock-session state are stored locally on your device. Unscroll does not sync your task list to our servers. Local data may be included in your device backups depending on your iOS and iCloud settings.

Purchase entitlement information may be processed by Apple and RevenueCat. Their own privacy policies may apply to the information they process.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate the App:

• Apple: For App Store purchases, Screen Time permissions, Family Controls, and iOS system features.
• RevenueCat: For purchase entitlement management and restore flows.
• Legal Requirements: If required by law or necessary to protect rights, users, or the App.

Your Choices

• You can delete tasks or reset today's list in the App.
• You can manage Screen Time permissions in iOS Settings.
• You can manage purchases, refunds, and subscriptions through your Apple App Store account.
• You can remove the App from your device to delete locally stored App data, subject to iOS backup behavior.

Children's Privacy

Unscroll is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the "Last Updated" date.
