Privacy Policy for Garanty

Introduction

Garanty ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it when you use the Garanty warranty tracking app.

Information We Collect

1. Account Information

• Email Address: Collected through Sign in with Apple for account identification and authentication.
• Name: May be provided by Apple during sign in, depending on your Apple settings.
• Language Preference: Stored when you choose Turkish or English in the App.

2. Warranty and Product Information

• Product Records: Product names, warranty expiration dates, optional purchase dates, retailer names, serial numbers, prices, descriptions, and notes.
• Tags: Tags you create or attach to product records.
• Photos: Optional invoice or product photos you upload.

3. Purchase and Entitlement Information

• Premium Status: Whether your account has lifetime premium access.
• Purchase Processing: Purchases are processed by Apple App Store and entitlement status may be managed through Adapty.

4. Device Permissions

• Photos and Camera: Used only when you choose to add invoice or product photos.
• Notifications: Used only if you enable warranty reminders.

How We Use Information

• To create and manage your account.
• To store, display, search, and organize your warranty records.
• To upload, store, retrieve, and delete your private photos.
• To provide premium features and restore eligible purchases.
• To schedule local warranty reminder notifications when enabled.
• To provide support, security, and account deletion.

Data Storage and Security

Garanty uses Supabase for authentication, database storage, and private file storage. Product photos are stored in a private storage bucket and are accessed by the App using authenticated requests or signed URLs. We use access controls designed so users can access only their own account data.

Data is transmitted over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate the App:

• Apple: For Sign in with Apple and App Store purchase processing.
• Supabase: For authentication, database, and private photo storage.
• Adapty: For purchase entitlement and paywall management.
• Legal Requirements: If required by law or necessary to protect rights, users, or the service.

Notifications

Warranty reminders are local device notifications. They are scheduled only when you allow notifications and enable reminder options in the App. You can disable notifications in the App or in iOS Settings.

Your Rights and Choices

• Access and Correction: You can view and update your warranty records in the App.
• Deletion: You can delete individual product records or request account deletion where available in the App.
• Permissions: You can manage photo and notification permissions in iOS Settings.
• Purchases: Purchase management and refunds are handled by Apple through your App Store account.

Data Retention

We keep your account and warranty data while your account is active. When you delete your account, associated records and private photos are deleted or scheduled for deletion unless retention is required by law, security, or legitimate operational needs.

Children's Privacy

Garanty is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the "Last Updated" date.
